How it works

1. On the first scan, set the baby's birth date. Buying before the birth? Set the due date - he can update it in one tap.
2. Every morning he scans the mug, probably at 5:47.
3. The day counter and today's message appear. 365 of them, covering the whole first year.

What the messages are

They rotate between encouragement ("You're doing better than you think. Seriously."), sleep-deprived humour, weekly milestones about what the baby can now do ("This week: your baby can recognise your voice"), and the counter itself - "Day 200 of being someone's whole world".

Who it is for
